1995 Mercury Cougar RX7 V8
Apparently it is too fast to just hand to his kids.

I think that's the same color pink I had on my first car, a 95 Mercury Mystique... which, coincidentally, was handed down from my grandma. No concerns about POWAHHHH there.

They are probably more interested in the next iPhone (I hate my generation)

My grandma still has her '96 Mystique.

Mine would still be in the family if my cousin, Destroyer of Automobiles, hadn't killed it getting TBoned in Staten Island. He then went on to wreck 4 different wheels and tires this winter on his damn Veloster.

I am also in that generation.
Sigh.

So much power that even most 4 cylinder cars today can keep up with. On a side note: I wish I had 205 HP.

He can keep the power, I wish I had 265 lb-ft of torque.

I wish I had that too. 180 ft. lbs. of torque just doesn't cut it in a 3800 lbs SUV. Neither does 150 HP at... wait for it... 4900 RPM.

Damn, and here I was complaining about 140 ft.lbs in a 2600lb car

Merging into traffic requires good judgement and math.

Maybe just dyslexic?

Well unless I am very much misinformed the XR-7 had a supercharged V6 with 205 HP, not a V8. There is much confusion in this ad.
![]() 06/24/2014 at 19:27 |

Didn't it get the V8 later on in life, or was that not offered on the XR7?

You are correct sir, 1995 was in fact the V8
